Mayor to Deliver State of the City & Vision for 2026

The mayor of one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., and soon to be home of the first Buc-ee's in Arizona, will deliver his State of the City address to residents, community partners and local and state lawmakers on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

His message will focus on his top 2026 priorities: public safety, capital improvement projects and quality amenities. He will also talk about the significant growth of the city and what it means for Goodyear to become the hot spot for such a variety of businesses, including Buc-ee's, which is scheduled to open this summer.

"One of the biggest milestones of the year was the groundbreaking of Buc-ee's," said Mayor Joe Pizzillo. "This project is about more than a new development; it's a sign of how far Goodyear has come and where we are headed. Buc-ee's will help position our city as a destination for the West Valley and the state, while also opening the door to future investment, tourism and economic opportunity."

Hear more from Mayor Joe Pizzillo at his State of the City Address on Feb. 4 at 3:30 p.m. at The Refinery, 16721 W. Indian School Road. Doors open at 3 p.m.
