JEFFERSON CITY, Mo - Washington County Route C over Big River reopened today after closing in late May 2025 for a bridge replacement project. Construction crews from Robertson Contractors, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, replaced the old structure, which was built in 1934 and reached the end of its usable life. The new bridge is wider, on a new alignment, has upgraded bridge approaches and a raised bridge deck.
A $2,088,206.38 contract was awarded to Robertson Contractors, Inc. as part of the March 2025 Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission meeting.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
