Friday Night Lane Closures on SR 14/Roosevelt Hwy/Main St for Resurfacing in Clayton, Fulton
ATLANTA METRO - Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install overnight lane closures on State Route 14/Roosevelt Highway/Main Street (SR 14) this weekend to continue work on a resurfacing project from SR 14 ALT in Clayton County to Norman Berry Drive in Fulton County. Resurfacing improves the roadway's deteriorating condition.

Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one right lane in each direction on SR 14/Roosevelt Highway/Main Street will be closed between Connally Drive and Howell Slade Circle from 9 p.m. on Friday, October 16 until 5 a.m. on Saturday. Flaggers will also be on-site to guide drivers through the lane closures between Connally Drive and Delano Road.

Crews will begin patching the road at the most damaged locations throughout the project area. As activities continue, lane closures will be installed to help ensure safety for drivers and work crews during milling, inlay and resurfacing operations. This $3.4 million project is scheduled for completion in early spring 2027.
Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
