Planning & Development extended hours & limited operations

Extended Hours & System Downtime

The City of Dallas Planning & Development (PDD) will begin using DallasNow on Monday, May 5, 2025!

As PDD transitions to the DallasNow platform, online systems will NOT be available and there will be limited operations from April 25 at 4 p.m. to May 4th. Current systems such as ProjectDox, Contractor's Portal and Posse are set to be replaced and will not be available to submit new or process existing applications. Operations will be limited to inspections, emergency releases & consultations.

To accommodate for this downtime in services, Oak Cliff Municipal Center will have extended hours the weeks of April 14th and April 21st.

Current systems not available online or in-person. Operations limited to:

Inspections Update

s we transition to DallasNow, there will be limited operations for Inspections from April 25 - May 4, 2025 as we migrate data from our current system to DallasNow.

  • After Hours Inspection Requests
  • Same Day Inspection Requests
  • Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Applications
  • Permit Registration Renewals
  • New Permit Registrations

  • Emergency Releases will continue
  • Regular Business Hours Inspections will continue
  • Pre-Construction meetings
  • Regular utility releases

Dallas will be working to update the Dallas Development Code to create a set of rules that is simple, clear, and future ready! This reform will create a modern, user-friendly code that implements ForwardDallas 2.0.
