For 15 years, Quad has partnered with Pine View Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center, a Fredonia, Wisconsin-based nonprofit organization, to promote sustainability and increase environmental awareness. Together, Quad and Pine View have sought to promote environmental literacy for school-age children.
By printing educational modules developed by Pine View, Quad helps the organization in its goal of making learning materials accessible to more students across more communities.
Pine View also played a key role in helping Quad celebrate Earth Month 2025 at our company's Sussex headquarters. Pine View staffers led educational sessions for Quad employees and their children who attend the on-site Quad Care childcare center. The sessions showcased wildlife "ambassadors" - former Pine View patients that, due to their injuries, could not be returned to the wild.
Quad is also continuing to strengthen its partnership with the Milwaukee-based Urban Ecology Center (UEC), building on a relationship first fostered by Quad co-founder Betty Quadracci. Through its three locations across Milwaukee, the organization advances its mission to connect people in cities to nature and each other.
In April, Quad brought community leaders, businesses and nonprofits together at the UEC to discuss ways of integrating sustainability efforts - the culmination of Pine View and Quad's partnership to create the Shared Educational Environment Developments (SEED) Initiative. The event was held at UEC's newly renovated Washington Square location and was emceed by Brandon Ramey, Site Director for Quad MKE, our Milwaukee recruiting, transportation and training hub.
"The SEED event was an opportunity to bring together partners within the Milwaukee community with the goal of sparking conversations and fostering collaboration in support of sustainable development in both urban and rural settings," says Deantrium "Dee" King, Logistics Coordinator for Quad MKE. "It's part of a recognition by Quad that, when it comes to sustainability, various organizations tend to operate in silos - so we're showing how we can come together, share our resources and truly be advocates for the community."
