Lowering of the County Flag: Dan Stevens

This is to advise that Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq. ordered the Charles County flag to be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full-staff on the day of interment (TBD), to honor Past Fire Chief Dan Stevens, who passed away on Sunday, September 7th, 2025.
Past Chief Stevens served the Citizens of Charles County since 1975, serving in many capacities with our department, county, and state organizations-most notably, Waldorf Volunteer Fire Chief for 22 years.
Please keep Chief Stevens, his immediate family, and his extended Fire & EMS family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Additional information regarding funeral arrangements will be forthcoming.
