Recycleye Acquired by CP Group

Recycleye, a UK-based developer of digital tools and AI-enabled robotics for waste and materials analytics and management, has been acquired by CP Group, a leading designer, manufacturer, and integrator of advanced material recovery facilities (MRFs) and automated sorting technologies.

Orrick advised Recycleye on the transaction.

THE COMPANIES

Recycleye builds automated waste-sorting systems for recycling plants. Using a combination of computer vision AI, robotic arms and analytic software, they aim to make recycling facilities more accurate, cheaper to operate, less dependant on manual sorting labour and better at recovering valuable recyclable materials.

CP Group (CPG) is an American manufacturer specialising in advanced waste management and recycling equipment. Based in San Diego, California, it designs and builds material recovery facilities (MRFs) and sorting systems for municipal and commercial recyclables. The company is recognised for its automation technology that improves efficiency and sustainability in waste processing operations.

THE IMPACT

The acquisition significantly expands CPG's AI-driven sorting capabilities, allowing MRF operators greater ability to increase recovery, improve purity, and maximize profitability. Integrating Recycleye's technology with CPG's portfolio unlocks powerful technical synergies that streamline product alignment, accelerate innovation, and further establish CP Group as the global leader in next-generation MRF systems.
