Venezuela – Reciprocal measures for diplomatic personnel (22 January 2025)

On January 20, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs instructed the Venezuelan Embassy in Paris to proceed with the reduction of its diplomatic personnel and gave the concerned employees five days to leave the country.

This decision is a reciprocal measure following the Venezuelan authorities' January 14th decision ordering the reduction of our diplomatic staff in Caracas on grounds that we categorically reject.
