Mercer County Route E West Medicine Creek Bridge to close March 17

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on four bridges in Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan counties. The Mercer County Route E bridge over West Medicine Creek, near Harris, is scheduled to close on Tuesday, March 17.

Traffic Impacts: The Route E bridge will be closed through May 2026. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route around the closure.

Listed below are the remaining bridges included in this project:

  • Mercer County Route JJ over West Honey Creek, near Spickard, closed through early April.
  • Putnam County Route FF over Shoal Creek, near Livonia, scheduled to close March 16.
  • Sullivan County Route OO over Locust Creek, near Milan, scheduled to begin in May.
