St. Petersburg's City of the Arts Grant Applications Now Open for Local Arts and Culture-Focused Non-Profits

April 2, 2026 - The City of St. Petersburg's City of the Arts Grant application period is now open. The City's Arts Grant provides funding opportunities for eligible arts and culture-focused non-profit organizations with budgets of more than $50,001.

Applications will be accepted until June 19, 2026, at 5 p.m.

"Every local arts and culture organization deserves the opportunity to thrive in our City of the Arts," said Celeste Davis, Director of Arts, Culture, and Tourism for the City of St. Petersburg. "As we enter another year of grant funding, we are thrilled to continue leveling the playing field by offering eligible organizations the chance to receive up to $20,000 in support. With St. Pete's growing reputation as an arts destination, it's more important than ever for the City to invest in the non-profits that enhance our community and elevate our quality of life."

Eligibility

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Be registered with the Florida Secretary of State as a non-profit organization.

  • Be a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization whose primary mission is arts or culture programming.

  • Be in existence and provide services to city residents for at least one year.

  • Have no outstanding debts to the City of St Petersburg.

  • The organization must be located in St. Petersburg and provide more than 50% of its arts/cultural programming within the City St. Pete, for the benefit of St. Pete residents and its visitors, or have a history, science, or children's museum that provides on-going arts/culture programming, performances or exhibitions for the benefit of St. Pete residents and its visitors.

  • Have operations of more than $50,001 for the most recently completed fiscal year at the time of the application.

Grant-funded activities cannot begin before October 1, 2026, or extend beyond September 30, 2027.
