About the Artist

Dwayne Howell, also known as Dr. How, varies his technique and style as he explores different types of art as a way to gain understanding and exploration of his craft. In his work you will see lots of color and movement as he sets out to give the viewer not only a look into the mind of the creator but also the feeling and energy put into the work. About the Artwork

This latest work, entitled An Offering for Sally, was inspired by the innocence and enthusiasm of children, and the way they see the world. The young girls in the image view the giant (statue) as a spirit of the land and as a token of appreciation, are gifting their favorite flowers. Their imagination and respect for the earth and its inhabitants are a glimmer of a brighter future. I created this piece with my own family in mind, catching a glimpse of the next generation of artists taking shape.
