Nevertel and Sleep Theory Share Music Video For Explosive Single "Break The Silence"

Born from four years of creative and personal reinvention, Florida band Nevertel have refined their sonic formula with razor-sharp precision on their new album 'Start Again' out this Friday, September 12th via Epitaph. Consisting of Jeremy Michael (vocals), Raul Lopez (producer/rapper) and Alec Davis (guitar), the trio's 13-track opus weaves a visceral narrative of self-destruction and redemption, seamlessly blending nostalgic nu-metal, rap and alt-rock into a genre defying sound of today. - PRESAVE HERE

Ahead of the record's release, Nevertel is sharing the explosive single "Break The Silence", premiered early via Sirius XM Octane. In collaboration with powerhouse Memphis rock band Sleep Theory, together, the buzzy acts join forces for a multiverse of sonic chaos. For a non-stop adrenaline fix, check out the riveting Fast & Furious inspired music video directed by Orie McGinness, featuring both bands HERE.

"'Break The Silence' is a song about being fed up with constantly getting taken advantage of, stepped on, and overlooked," Nevertel discloses. "We all know or have known someone in life that has treated you like crap, made you feel small, or pushed you to the breaking point. When this happens with someone you love, it can be hard to address the problem out of fear you'll be misunderstood or attacked. You end up in this internal war with yourself asking if it's even worth it to talk about or not. But just like the song says, sometimes you gotta break the silence and put someone in their place to show them you can't be cut down anymore. Sometimes the path with resistance is the only way forward, and it's better to take it than to stay in silence."

Sleep Theory's Cullen Moore adds: "Being asked to be a part of writing 'Break The Silence' is something that's extremely special to me. Nevertel is a band that I've been a fan of for a very long time and now that we're good friends with them seems unreal. I love these guys. I love what they do and I love the people that they are. I can't wait for everyone to hear what we've put together because I think it's exactly what people would expect from a Nevertel x Sleep Theory track."

Considered by the band "a record we've been trying to write for years," the songs on Start Again are a collection of puzzle pieces built out of older and newer ideas spurred by the Tampa crew. During the writing process, they noticed a recurring thread of crashing, burning, and new beginnings, born of songs like "Starting Over" which has roots as far as four years back. Undergoing multiple transformations before finding its final form, the songs were scrapped, revisited, and reworked, mirroring the lyrical narrative Nevertel carries throughout the record.

Recorded in sessions across Los Angeles, Nashville, Memphis and their home state of Florida, the making of Nevertel's new album marks a significant shift for the band. Internally produced with Raul Lopez at the reigns, they also worked with outside collaborators for the first time, including Joshua Landry, Dave Cowell (Sleep Theory) and Gianni Taylor (Bring Me The Horizon). Coming from a DIY background, the band found the experience to be a valuable learning opportunity that helped them grow as musicians. A key aspect of this collaboration was an unconventional songwriting approach, where sessions began with conversations rather than music. This allowed the band to explore deeper themes and lyrics, resulting in a more nuanced listening experience. As they reflected on their triumphs and failures, their personal experiences, their shared childhood, and this chance at a new beginning, the songs that would be Start Again grew to reflect the band members' personal growth and shared self-improvement journey.

Nevertel were united in 2014 by an unbreakable bond and a shared passion for music. Leading with an emphasis in quality in everything they do, they currently sustain over 160 Million catalog streams and continue to build on their online community of over 600K social media followers. After independently releasing multiple albums, EPs and singles, they signed to Epitaph Records in 2024 and saw another dream become reality. Now with their new album Start Again, the band are on a mission to inspire other people to make great changes in their lives.
