Bridge repairs begin Thursday on Gibraltar Road overpass at I-75 in Wayne County

BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Weather permitting, contract crews will begin repairs to the Gibraltar Road overpass above I-75 on Thursday, Sept. 17, into early October. Structural steel and heat straightening repairs are required.

Starting at 9 a.m., the northbound I-75 right lane will be closed, along with the eastbound Gibraltar Road entrance ramp to northbound I-75. During the last two weekends of September, the right and center lanes of northbound I-75 will be closed at Gibraltar Road to allow crews to safely conduct repairs. The double-lane closures begin at 8 p.m. on Fridays and end by 5 a.m. on Mondays.
