Important Notice: Off-Campus Fire Creating Smoke Conditions

The Department of Public Safety and Transportation is monitoring an off-campus fire that is currently creating smoke conditions in the area of our Garden City campus.

There is no threat of fire to Adelphi's campus. However, you may be able to see and smell smoke.

The following guidelines can help support your safety and comfort:

• Close windows and doors in your building or residence hall to minimize smoke infiltration.
• Limit outdoor activity if you have respiratory sensitivities or pre-existing health conditions.
