Indian Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff Pays Courtesy Call on Deputy Minister of Defence

The Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation & Intelligence) of India, Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), at his office in Colombo today (14 January).

The meeting was held in a cordial manner and provided an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on further strengthening bilateral defence cooperation. Discussions highlighted the importance of continued engagement and close collaboration between Sri Lanka and India.

The Defence Adviser from High Commission of India was also present at the meeting.
