MIAMI, June 3, 2026 - Anaplan, a leading AI-driven scenario planning and analysis platform designed to optimize decision-making in today's complex business environment, today announced that Indiana University (IU) has selected Anaplan to modernize its core financial planning processes and establish a single source of truth for institution-wide planning.
Managing a $4.5 billion operating budget across nine campuses and more than 400 users, IU faced significant challenges with its legacy systems. The university's disconnected applications required staff to manually update salary and position changes for more than 23,000 employees and reconcile inconsistent reporting processes between campuses. Plus, without the ability to allocate funds based on the actual timing of income and expenses, leaders often faced challenges achieving the level of precision and agility needed for informed decision-making.
To solve this, IU selected Anaplan's cloud-native, AI-driven platform to create a single, integrated environment for financial planning, workforce budgeting, and multi-year forecasting.
Anaplan will also connect IU's multiple on-premises enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, which will allow the university to transform a complex, decentralized budget process into a modern, agile planning environment that aligns capital with strategic priorities.
