The City of Columbia is hosting its monthly Let's Talk Local discussion from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the Molly Thomas Bowden Neighborhood Policing Center, 1204 International Drive.

This discussion will feature Ward 2 Council Member Vera Elwood and will focus on the mission of the Office of Violence Prevention. D'Markus Thomas-Brown, administrator of the office, will provide a presentation on steps the City is taking to address community violence.

These meetings are open to all residents from any ward. Refreshments will be provided. The City is asking attendees to register by completing the Let's Talk Local: Ward 2 Registration Form.
