HOUSTON - Jan. 23, 2026 -Charles C. Dunham, IV, and Adam H. Laughton, shareholders in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Health Care & FDA Practice, were recently recognized as Board Certified in Health Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS). Board Certification is the highest level of recognition by the State Bar of Texas (SBOT). Of the 116,000+ active attorneys with the SBOT, only 6,850 are Board Certified.
Dunham and Laughton join a select group of 78 lawyers in Texas who are Board Certified in Health Law, one of 28 specialties for certification. Qualifications for becoming Board Certified in Health Law include:

Dunham's health care practice includes providing counsel in business, regulatory, compliance, reimbursement, and white-collar defense matters. He represents an array of health care providers, suppliers, and other health-related entities with a distinct focus on the laboratory and telehealth industries. He advises private equity firms and venture capital groups on their investments in the health care industry, including due diligence reviews of target acquisitions, negotiated contracts, and ongoing regulatory compliance advice related to such investments.
Laughton guides health care providers and other parties through the complexities of health care transactions, including inevitable regulatory questions, licensing, payor enrollment, and many other issues. He has handled transactions involving a wide variety of providers and facilities, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health providers, and freestanding emergency rooms, as well as physician practices and other entrepreneurs in the health care space. These transactions have included deals as large as $1 billion in a wide variety of locations around the United States.
Established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas, the TBLS certifies lawyers and paralegals who have substantial experience in select areas of law, completed significant number of hours of continuing legal education in the specialty area, and passed a rigorous exam. Click here for more information.
