Indurex raises €7M pre-seed to secure cyber-physical systems

Indurex, the Amsterdam-based company building an AI-native platform for the resilience of cyber-physical systems, has raised €7 million in its pre-seed round. Contrarian Ventures led the round, with Axeleo Capital and Curiosity VC participating. We are pleased to support Jalal Bouhdada, Maarten Oosterink and the Indurex team from their first institutional round.

01. Industrial risk is no longer only digital

In energy, utilities, manufacturing, data centers and pipeline networks, a cyber incident does not stop at the IT perimeter. It can affect process behavior, safety functions and operational continuity. Indurex addresses a gap it has identified clearly: the threats facing industrial operators are becoming AI-driven and cyber-physical, while the tools used to monitor them remain fragmented, with security data on one side and engineering and safety data on the other.

02. What Indurex builds

Indurex has developed what it calls engineering intelligence for cyber-physical systems. The platform ingests and correlates data from across the industrial stack, including process historians, instrumentation and asset management systems, alarm management, and OT network and endpoint data. It brings cyber, process and safety context into a single operational view, with AI-scored incidents and recommended actions.

Importantly, the platform is designed to work with the existing environment rather than replace it. It complements SCADA/DCS systems, historians and third-party OT security tools already in place at operators' sites.

03. Why we invested

The team comes first. Jalal Bouhdada previously led Applied Risk, an industrial cybersecurity company, and founded Indurex in 2025 with specialists in operational technology, cybersecurity and process safety. Maarten Oosterink joins him as COO. This is a team that knows industrial environments from the inside, which matters in a market where credibility with operators is earned on the plant floor.

The product approach is the second reason. In industrial settings, adoption depends on fitting into systems that operators cannot simply switch off. A platform that complements the installed base, instead of asking customers to replace it, removes a significant barrier to deployment.

Finally, Indurex sits where several of our convictions meet. Cybersecurity has been a core theme at Axeleo Capital since our first fund in 2017. Our focus has since extended to AI-native B2B software and to industrial technology. Indurex brings these together: security, AI and the physical systems that keep critical infrastructure running.

04. What comes next

The funding will allow Indurex to accelerate its ramp-up and expand across Europe and the Middle East, in line with its mission of protecting the industrial environments behind critical infrastructure.

We look forward to working alongside Contrarian Ventures, Curiosity VC and the Indurex team in this next phase. Welcome to the Axeleo Capital portfolio.
