Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus Yang Yundong Visits Paphos

On September 17, 2026, Ambassador of China to Cyprus Yang Yundong paid a visit to Paphos and met with the Acting Mayor Angelos Onisiforou. 

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on strengthening subnational cooperation between China and Cyprus. Both sides expressed readiness to further enhance communication and coordination, expand practical cooperation in such areas as trade, culture and tourism, so as to inject fresh impetus into the development of the China-Cyprus Sister City Alliance, and make greater contributions to the growth of China-Cyprus relations. 

During the visit, Ambassador Yang also attended the "Colorful China 2025" Photo Exhibition. The exhibition featured works created by 27 Cypriot photographers during their visits to Hunan and Inner Mongolia in China, presenting through their lenses China's natural landscapes, cultural diversity and development vitality.
