Fatality Collisions

NORMAN, Okla. (Sept. 30, 2026) - On September 29, 2026, at approximately 4:15 PM, the Norman Police Department responded to an injury collision involving multiple vehicles at the intersection of 24th Ave SW and State Highway 9.
Multiple injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Three people were transported to local hospitals as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. One of those transported later passed away as a result of their injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by the Norman/OU Police Department Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
In an unrelated incident, on September 29, 2026, at approximately 7:36 PM, the Norman Police Department responded to an injury collision in the 3600 block of Cedar Lane.
Multiple injuries were reported as a result of the collision. One person was transported to a local hospital, one person passed away at the scene, and one self transported due to injuries sustained an a result of the collision.
This collision also remains under investigation by the Norman/OU Police Department Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
