Consumers Energy is continuing restoration efforts following Thursday's statewide storms, after restoring power to thousands of customers throughout the night.
Consumers Energy crews made significant overnight progress restoring power after another round of strong winds, heavy rain and localized flooding impacted much of the state. The company has restored more than 140,000 customers since the start of the turbulent weather and will continue to work around the clock.
"Our crews have made tremendous progress restoring power to homes and businesses across the state and will continue working to ensure all remaining customers are restored as quickly and safely as possible," said Jean Kang, one of Consumers Energy's officers in charge for restoration. "Our customers rely on us to provide energy they can count on and we are committed to working around the clock until every customer impacted by this series of storms is restored."
As restoration efforts continue, crews will focus on hardest hit areas, assessing damage and addressing repairs. The company will monitor recovery and deploy additional resources if needed.
