Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs meets with President of Tufts University
On 20 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held discussions with Dr. Sunil Kumar, President of Tufts University, and his delegation on promoting cooperation in education, research, and public health, particularly on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), which remains a pressing global health challenge.
The Vice Foreign Minister highlighted Thailand's role in advancing cooperation to effectively address AMR through public health diplomacy, including through relevant ASEAN frameworks. Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening regional cooperation of this agenda. They also discussed potential cooperation in capacity building, particularly through specialized training programmes.
