Within the framework of the International Forum on Digital Technology - Smart City Asia 2022 Exhibition in Vietnam, the People's Committee of Thủ Đức City, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), is organizing an Experience Zone to showcase technology products and solutions for smart urban areas in Thủ Đức City. There will also be a workshop on the development and construction of a smart city, focusing on the establishment of a standard technology framework for connected smart urban development. The Smart Track and Check Solution (Traceability & Authentication Solution) utilizes QR codes to determine the origin of a product and its status within the supply chain, along with other relevant information. The solution not only facilitates the quick identification of product information (origin) but also manages and authenticates the product's movement from production to consumer sale.

Prominent Features of Smart Track and Check

1. For the product:
  • Each product, in addition to the QR code containing product information, will have an additional unique identification QR code. This code includes a product-specific identifier (ID) containing static information and details connected to the manufacturer's database.
  • The identification QR code is automatically updated according to the standard process as the product moves through the official distribution system at each stage (manufacturing, warehouse entry, warehouse exit, distributor, agent, store, retail location, and end consumer).
  • The product status "purchased" marks the endpoint of the information associated with the identification QR code in the database.
2. For consumers:
  • Accessing and authenticating the origin of the product: by scanning the product information QR code, consumers will receive comprehensive information about the product (features, manufacturing date, expiration date, detailed functionality, cross-referenced with distribution areas, etc.), related Q&A, especially the status of "Product (ID) sold or not sold".
  • Authenticating the "purchased" status by scanning the identification (ID) QR code of the product.
  • Viewing and submitting reviews, comments about the product.
  • Participating in promotional programs.
  • Earning points when purchasing products.
  • Checking participated offers based on manufacturers, brands.
  • Participating in manufacturer and brand affiliate programs to increase opportunities for earning points and redeeming rewards.
  • Through these features, consumers will receive more value compared to traditional shopping methods, especially in terms of reducing the risk of purchasing counterfeit, copied, or imitation products.
3.For manufacturers and brands:
  • Managing product information seamlessly from the production stage until it reaches the hands of the buyer through QR codes (information and identification): product information, the progress of goods movement, inventory status, categories, quantity sold, etc.
