Advisory team named to coordinate inauguration of President Kimo Ah Yun

Mass, inauguration ceremony will be April 29

Marquette has formed an advisory team to plan and coordinate the inauguration of President Kimo Ah Yun as the university's 25th president. The event, which will include a Mass and inauguration ceremony, will be held the morning of Tuesday, April 29, in the Al McGuire Center. A general reception for the Marquette community will follow.

The inauguration advisory team, chaired by Kate Braasch, chief of presidential affairs in the Office of the President, comprises:

  • Steve Blaha, director, Campus Ministry
  • Jean Dole, chief of staff, Office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
  • Rev. Ryan Duns, S.J., chair and associate professor of theology, Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
  • Dr. Marcus Arrington, associate director, McNair Scholars Program and Educational Opportunity Program; University Staff Senate member
  • Kathleen Hohl, manager of presidential communication, Office of Marketing and Communication
  • Dr. Andrew Kim, associate professor of theology, Klingler College of Arts and Sciences; University Academic Senate member
  • Erin Gannon, dean of students, Division of Belonging and Student Affairs
  • Kelsey Otero, senior director of community engagement, Office of University Relations
  • Jill Ott, senior engagement director, University Advancement
  • Dr. Adrienne Ridgeway, executive associate athletic director, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics
  • Jennifer Russell, senior director of marketing, Office of Marketing and Communication
  • Brennan Wills, undergraduate student representative and MUSG President; senior, Diederich College of Communication

Additionally, the team will be supported by University Special Events staff.
