Buckeye State of the City Address

Buckeye is proud to announce the premiere of the 2026 State of the City address.

This annual event serves as a milestone celebration of the city's significant achievements over the past year while offering an exclusive preview of the developments on the horizon. Featuring Mayor Eric Orsborn, the State of the City will highlight Buckeye's continued momentum as a premier destination for residents and businesses alike.

Through a strategic commitment to smart, sustainable development, Buckeye has solidified its position as a regional economic powerhouse. The past year was defined by landmark achievements that are reshaping the city's landscape:

• Industrial & Employment Growth: Buckeye welcomed Burlington's new two-million-square-foot distribution center and saw the arrival of MayAir, the city's first semiconductor supply company. Together with the Verrado Marketplace, these projects are creating thousands of local jobs.
• Retail & Lifestyle Destinations: The city is expanding its footprint for recreation and dining through The Landing, a 2,100-acre destination, and the phased opening of the Verrado Marketplace.
• Infrastructure & Innovation: Buckeye celebrated a 13% increase in airport operations and the successful opening of the Joe Foss Shooting Complex. Proactive road projects continue to improve community connectivity, while the Airport Specific Area Plan sets the stage for future corridor investment.
• Securing the Future: Most notably, the city achieved historic wins in water security through the AG-to-Urban bill and the acquisition of water from Harquahala Valley, ensuring long-term sustainability for generations to come.
