Loughborough-linked athletes returned to UK soil with a host of medals after recent stunning performances at global competitions in South America.

During a busy period of cycling action, Loughborough Lightning's Jenny Holl secured gold in the Women's B Individual Pursuit at the 2025 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro.

Competing alongside teammate Sophie Unwin, the duo also set a new world record time in qualifying as they cruised to yet another world crown.

The pair followed their gold performance to take another medal - this time bronze - in the Sprint Tandem event.

Elsewhere, at the Tissot UCI Track World Championships, current student and Lightning rider Iona Moir won a superb silver medal in the Team Sprint - Elite Women category.

Held in in Santiago, Chile, Moir formed part of a blockbuster Great Britain squad that also included Emma Finucane and Rhianna Parris-Smith.

In the Men's competition, current student and Lightning rider Joe Trueman had an event to remember by winning both silver and bronze respectively.

The 28-year-old formed part of GB's Team Sprint - Elite Men's squad alongside Matthew Richardson and Hamish Turnbull, as the trio took second place.

Trueman also claimed a brilliant bronze medal of his own after a wonderful showing in the Elite Men's time trial.
