Frank Church Institute to honor former U.S. Solicitor General with public service award

The Frank Church Institute is honored to announce Elizabeth Prelogar, former Solicitor General of the United States, will receive the Frank and Bethine Church Award for Public Service. General Prelogar, an Idaho native and Boise High School graduate, will return to Boise on May 16 for the 2026 Frank Church Institute and School of Public Service Fundraising Dinner to discuss her experience representing the United States before the Supreme Court, reflect on the responsibilities of public service and share insights from her remarkable career at the highest levels of the legal profession.

The Frank Church Institute Award for Public Service honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional public service. The award has recognized notable figures such as Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. in 2013, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta in 2016, and Idaho native Gregory C. Carr in 2024.
