Briefing on Preparations for the International Water Conference of Dushanbe at UNESCO

On 28 April 2026, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, by the initiative of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, a briefing was held on preparations for the Fourth High-Level International Conference dedicated to the International Decade of Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028".

The event brought together staff of the relevant UNESCO departments and representatives of the Member States, who gathered to receive detailed information on the goals, agenda, expected outcomes and logistical arrangements of the Conference, which is scheduled to take place in Dushanbe from 25 to 28 May 2026.

In his speech the Permanent Delegate of Tajikistan to UNESCO Dilshod Rahimi provided a detailed overview of the preparations of the Government of the country and highlighted the importance of the global initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of water.
