Meeting with the Director General of the International Organization for Migration

On February 20, 2026, the Permanent representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva Mr. Sharaf Sheralizoda met with the Director General of the International Organization for Migration, Mrs. Amy Pope.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of current and future cooperation between Tajikistan and the IOM in the fields of the labour migration, internal and external migration in the context of environmental degradation and climate change.

The Permanent Representative also presented an invitation to Mrs. Amy Pope for participation in the 4th High-Level International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action, "Water for Sustainable Development," 2018-2028, to be held on 25-28 May 2026 in Dushanbe.
