BOZEMAN - The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Montana State University will host its monthly Friday Forum on April 10, titled "Bozeman's New Land Development Code: How Did We Get Here and Where Do We Expect to Go?" The event will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Zoom and is free and open to the public.
Chris Saunders, Bozeman's community development manager, will discuss and answer questions about how a new Unified Development Code will guide Bozeman's growth.
In August 2023, the city of Bozeman unveiled a draft of proposed revisions to its UDC, which provides land-use guidelines for areas such as parks, roads and wetlands. The city spent two additional years on community engagement efforts, public hearings, law changes from the Montana Legislature and work sessions with the Bozeman City Commission before a draft was finalized and adopted on Dec. 16, 2025. The new code took effect on Feb. 1 of this year.
Registration for the Friday Forum must be completed via Zoom or at montana.edu/olli/friday/ before 11 a.m. April 10. Upon registration confirmation, participants will receive an email with the Zoom link and instructions on how to join the forum.
OLLI at MSU, a program of Academic Technology and Outreach, hosts forums on the second Friday of the month from September to May. ATO provides outreach and engagement opportunities across the university. For more information, visit https://www.montana.edu/olli/.
