DALLAS - The 2026 Dallas ISD Internship Expo will take place 10 a.m., Friday, March 6 at Dallas College Mountain View Campus, where more than 600 high school students will interview with over 200 employers for paid summer internships. By connecting students with real-world experiences aligned to their programs of study, the expo strengthens workforce pipelines and showcases the power of partnership between Dallas ISD and the local business community.
Lincoln Lady Tigers state send-off
Lincoln High School and Humanities/Communications Magnet will host a send off for the Lady Tigers at 9:15 a.m., Thursday, March 5, as they head to state for the third consecutive year to defend their title in the UIL 4A Division II State Basketball Championship. The game is set for 7 p.m., Friday, March 6, at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Dallas ISD celebrates ribbon cutting for Biomedical Preparatory
Dallas ISD will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate a building expansion for Biomedical Preparatory at UT Southwestern at 9 a.m., Thursday March 5, marking an exciting new chapter for the innovative campus. Designed to inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders, the school provides students with early, hands-on exposure to careers in medicine and science. The expansion reflects the district's commitment to growing high-demand academic pathways and continuing to build opportunities for students in the years ahead.
College opportunities await at Texas Scholars Fair
The Texas Scholars College Fair for Juniors will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, March 6, at the Forester Athletic Complex. Juniors ranked in the top 25% of their class are invited to attend and connect with representatives from more than 50 colleges. Organized by National Hispanic College Fairs, Inc., the event will offer students direct access to admission counselors as they explore postsecondary opportunities.
