Happy New Year, Grand Prairie!
A new year is here, and 2026 is shaping up to be a fun, meaningful, and family-friendly year in Grand Prairie. From inspiring community traditions and cultural celebrations to outdoor adventures and foodie favorites, there is so much to look forward to-and we are excited to share what's ahead.
Start the year by coming together at the MLK Parade and Celebration, one of the city's largest and most beloved gatherings, honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with music, student performances, and community pride.
The momentum continues with vibrant cultural celebrations like Lunar New Year, as well as opportunities to give back during The Big Event, our citywide day of volunteerism.
Later, families can look forward to smiles and surprises at Dino Fest at EpicCentral, along with outdoor festivals, cultural showcases, and live entertainment throughout the city. Food lovers can also expect a full season of food and drink festivals, while parks and public spaces come alive with activities, music, and community events.
As the year continues, Grand Prairie will celebrate the seasons with fall favorites like Flight of the Monarch, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Día de los Muertos, leading into festive holiday events that close out the year with community and cheer.
These events are just a preview of what is ahead!
