LA Wildfires: Find Support, Show Support

Dear members,

With the ongoing wildfires devastating our community, the WGAE has created a Los Angeles Wildfire Support landing page with information on emergency financial assistance and resources including shelters, supply distribution, animal boarding and more.

This Guild's LA Wildfire Support page is divided into two primary sections:

• Find Support (for members impacted by the wildfires)
• Show Support (for members & allies in a position to help with aid and recovery needs)

Notably, the Writers Guilds of America, East and West, today launched a Writers Guild Member Fund with the Entertainment Community Fund (ECF) to provide grants for affected writers who have lost their home or been displaced by the wildfires. A number of Guild members and the WGA West Board have already committed over $700,000 to this fund to support fellow writers. If you can support this effort, please consider donating to the Writers Guild Member Fund. If you are a WGA East member and seek a grant from the the Writers Guild Member Fund, please contact WGAE General Counsel Ann Burdick.

WGAE staff will update our Support page regularly with additional resources. We encourage you to also refer to the linked resources directly as they will receive their own regular updates from organizations and community members.
