Engine 2's new pump has been placed in service

Engine 2's new pump was placed in service at 112 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024.

This apparatus is a 2023 Pierce Enforcer, 1250 gpm (gallons per minute) pump with a 500 gallon water tank. It incorporates TAK-4 T3 All Wheel Steering and energy efficient Idle Reduction Technology. The All Wheel Steering will be advantageous in maneuvering through the narrow streets and tight corners of the district

Thank you to our Fire Dept Mechanics, Tech Services, & the members of Engine 2 (group 4) for completing the changeover on Monday.

As expected with the city's busiest company, the quick photo shoot in busy Lafayette Square was interrupted by the response to an alarm.
