ATLANTA - On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, State Representative Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) was elected chair of the Gwinnett County House Delegation. Rep. Clark is the first woman, and the first Black woman, to hold the position. Additionally, State Representative Segun Adeyina (D-Grayson) was selected as vice chair, and State Representative Arlene Becks (D-Norcross) was appointed secretary of the delegation.
"I look forward to working with all of my colleagues in the Gwinnett delegation to do what's best for Gwinnett County," said Rep. Clark. "It is my honor to serve, and I am committed to ensuring that the voices of our diverse community are heard and represented in the Georgia House."
The Gwinnett County House Delegation consists of state lawmakers who represent the county at the Georgia State Capitol. The delegation works to address the needs and concerns of Gwinnett residents, collaborate on policy initiatives and advocate for the county's interests in state legislation.
Representative Jasmine Clark represents the citizens of District 108, which includes portions of Gwinnett County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Banks & Banking, Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Higher Education and Interstate Cooperation committees.
