Montgomery to Host 2025 ESPN Red Tails Classic Featuring Tuskegee vs. Winston-Salem State

MONTGOMERY, AL - In honor of the Tuskegee Airmen and the enduring legacy of HBCU excellence, the City of Montgomery will host the 2025 ESPN Red Tails Classic on Sunday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m. at Cramton Bowl. This year's matchup features a powerhouse HBCU showdown between Tuskegee University and Winston-Salem State University. BowlGameSchedule

Leading up to game day, the City will also host the Red Tails Classic Pep Rally on Saturday, August 30 at 4:00 p.m. at Riverwalk Amphitheater, located at 355 Commerce Street. The pep rally is free and open to the public and will include marching bands, cheerleaders, and special guests celebrating HBCU pride and the Red Tails legacy. Event details here.

Weekend Schedule Highlights:

  • Friday, August 29:
    • 5:00 p.m. - Lot C opens for RVs
  • Saturday, August 30:
    • 2:00 p.m. - Road closure on Madison Avenue in front of Cramton Bowl
    • 4:00 p.m. - Red Tails Classic Pep Rally at Riverwalk Amphitheater
  • Sunday, August 31: FCS Kickoff Parking W_Shuttle
    • 6:00 a.m. - Hard close for all roads around Cramton Bowl
    • 2:00 p.m. - Shuttles and parking decks open
    • 4:00 p.m. - Cramton Bowl gates open
    • 6:00 p.m. - Kickoff

The Red Tails Classic pays tribute to the legendary Tuskegee Airmen and supports the continued elevation of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) on the national stage.
