City of Napa Announces 2024 Napa Dia de Los Muertos!

The City of Napa is pleased to invite you and your families to the third annual Napa Dia de Los Muertos on Saturday, November 2, 2024. This event is a vibrant celebration of life and remembrance, where colorful altars and joyful festivities come together to honor our loved ones. Napa Dia De Los Muertos is a family-friendly event where our diverse Napa community feels seen and heard through art, tradition, music, dance, and food.

Napa Dia de Los Muertos activities will take place from 3-8 pm in Downtown Napa. A large, beautiful community altar will be open to the public in Dwight Murry Plaza. We invite community members to bring copies of photos, notes and memories to honor and celebrate your loved ones. Both individual altars and school altars will also be on display along the nearby Brown Street Plaza as well as the child craft area. There is entertainment on the main stage at Veterans Park including folklorico dancing, mariachi and Latin music groups, Bugambilia and Combo Tezeta. Along Brown Street between 2nd and 3rd Street, eventgoers can enjoy delicious food and drinks as well as stroll through the a large scale murals on display. Art vendors will be selling their handmade artwork and crafts on Main Street between 1st & 2nd Street. The event is free and all are welcome to come enjoy the celebration and cultural festivities.

Napa Dia de Los Muertos is committed to the educational and cultural understanding of the sacred tradition known as Dia de Los Muertos. Napa Dia de Los Muertos is produced in collaboration with Amplifi Napa Valley and the Children's Museum of Napa Valley.
