The Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization (Corridor MPO) is kicking off its "Connecting Great Places" plan focused on improving trails and bikeways in Ely, Fairfax, Hiawatha, Marion, Palo, and Robins.
To get started, they need area residents' help identifying how they currently use trails or bikeways and their desire for future improvements by completing this survey, connectinggreatplaces.com, by Monday,
Oct. 19.

The project team will collect and analyze the results of this survey to help guide the next steps of the plan, including identifying potential projects to improve trails and bikeways and accomplish each
community's goals.

About Connecting Great Places
The Connecting Great Places plan will evaluate the current trail and bikeway system in Ely, Fairfax, Hiawatha, Marion, Palo, and Robins and outline strategies to enhance and expand the system to meet
future local and regional needs. Ultimately, the project team will use the information you provide along with data analysis and community plans to create a guide for participating communities to use when
making investment and project selection decisions.

About the Corridor MPO
The Corridor MPO is an organization made up of elected officials and appointed representatives of Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Marion, Hiawatha, Robins, Ely, Fairfax, and Palo. Representation on Corridor MPO is
based on the population of the participating cities and county and includes at least one elected official from each governing body. Each member's jurisdiction contributes to the local share of the Corridor
MPO's budget.
