Help Shape Future COLAs Online Improvements

The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is conducting user research as part of the "myTTB" modernization effort, including future improvements to COLAs Online. Researchers are building a list of breweries interested in giving feedback on future COLAs Online design concepts later this summer and into the autumn.

The Brewers Association seeks breweries to voluntarily take part in this process, which we want to result in a more user-friendly, less burdensome system for the industry. Participation gives breweries an opportunity to help shape a system they rely on by sharing what would make COLAs Online clearer, easier, and less time-consuming to use.

TTB researchers are especially interested in hearing from breweries that manage COLAs Online submissions in-house (as opposed to filing through a lawfirm or compliance service). Owners, operations/compliance staff, and marketing or label/design staff who create, review, prepare, or submit COLA applications are encouraged to sign up. Newer and experienced users are both welcome.

Sessions will likely involve a voluntary 60-minute Zoom call to review early design concepts and provide feedback based on real experiences using COLAs Online. Participation is voluntary. Identifying information will not be shared, and responses will be anonymized.
