APMA Urges Congress to Reduce Barriers to Preventive Care for Diabetic Patients

APMA submitted a letter responding to the House Committee on Ways and Means Health Subcommittee for a field hearing on modernizing healthcare practices for chronic condition treatment. APMA highlighted the importance of expanding podiatric Medicaid coverage, which would reduce barriers to cost-effective care, and reforming outdated Medicare documentation requirements for therapeutic shoes that create consequential delays.

APMA is continuing to advocate for the passage of HR 7905/S 4070, the Diabetes Foot Health Access and Modernization Act. Take action now by using APMA's eAdvocacy Center to urge your lawmakers to cosponsor the legislation.
