Known Issues Impacting Agency Testing

Pay.gov developers are working to address the following known issues. Please check back frequently; we'll provide updates, including resolution status, as these issues are addressed.

  • For system-to-system/automatic activity file retrieval, agencies may receive a HTTP 400 return code if supplying request parameters (e.g., reportName, reportDate, and reportFormat) in the body of the request instead of the URL. Agencies can also receive a HTTP 400 return code if they are not supplying the reportFormat in the URL query parameters; this should be optional and Pay.gov will use XML as the default.

Resolved Issues Impacting Agency Testing

  • Update deployed to the agency test environment on 4.22.2026 around 12:00 p.m. ET.
    • For the eBilling and Form services, agencies that allow PDF attachments may receive a false positive message for a potential virus.
  • Update deployed to the agency test environment on 4.21.2026 around 1:00 p.m. ET.
    • For Trusted Collection Services (TCS) and Hosted Collection Pages (HCP) services, agencies may receive a 500 HTTP return code or schema validation error because Pay.gov is requiring a SOAPAction header to be passed in the request. Please report this issue to Pay.gov Customer Support
    • For Web Services and system-to-system/automatic activity file retrieval with IPV6 addresses or ranges, Pay.gov is not accepting the requests.
