Two additional suspects have been arrested on multiple felony charges following the April 21st gunfire outside Club La Danse on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard that left an uninvolved woman with a leg injury.
The shooting occurred at 12:25 a.m. when security removed a man for punching a female. The ejected individuals got into a physical altercation with security guards prior to going across the street and firing shots toward the club. The security guards reported returning fire in defense of themselves. A 26-year-old innocent female bystander was struck in the calf while at a nearby hotdog stand.
Chance Vaughn, 23, was arrested earlier this month for his involvement in the shooting. He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and being felon in possession of a weapon. Vaughn remains jailed today on $135,000 bond.
On Tuesday, Devontez Wade, 23, was arrested after he fled from detectives twice on a motorcycle during an attempted traffic stop. He was taken into custody on Enchanted Way after surrendering.
Wade is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of felony evading arrest. He remains jailed today on $105,000 bond.
On Wednesday, Devontae Brown, 23, was arrested during an unrelated court appearance on outstanding warrants for his involvement in the shooting. He was charged with five counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He remains jailed today on $130,000 bond.
The investigation, led by the MNPD Non-Lethal Shooting Unit, is continuing.
