Walker Lake Road in Bartow Closing Oct. 12 for Underground Stormwater Infrastructure Replacement Work

Bartow, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2026) - A section of Walker Lake Road in Bartow is scheduled to close at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12 for underground stormwater infrastructure replacement work.
Walker Lake Road will be closed between Snell Road and Alturas Babson Park Cutoff Road until the underground stormwater infrastructure replacement work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
Traffic will be detoured on Snell Road and Alturas Babson Park Cutoff Road. Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
The closure is part of a Central Concrete Products Inc. project.
