For one powerful day, the Stony Brook community will come together once again to make an extraordinary impact. On March 25, 2026, Giving Day returns - bringing 24 Hours To Empower Every Seawolf and the opportunity to shape the future of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and Stony Brook Medicine.
Now in its eighth year, Giving Day runs 24 hours, from midnight to midnight, when Seawolf supporters will dare to be part of something bigger. By making a gift to the areas that matter most to them, donors will transform ideas into action, from student success to groundbreaking discoveries.
"Giving Day is a remarkable moment in time when our entire Stony Brook community comes together for 24 hours to help our students and faculty achieve their goals, pursue their dreams and thrive now and for years to come," said Scott Barrett, interim vice president for Advancement. "I'm constantly inspired by the thoughtfulness and care that drive the generosity throughout our community. Some people give to honor a mentor, some choose to support a cause or interest they care about and others want to create opportunity for the next generation of Seawolves. When you add thousands of those stories together, the result is something truly special."
Last year. the Stony Brook community and raising more than $1 million from 3,800 plus supporters spanning 47 states and 14 countries. This year's Giving Day builds on that momentum, inviting Seawolves everywhere to empower students, faculty, staff, patients and healthcare providers to thrive and innovate in ways that move Stony Brook into the future.
