Small-Group Instructional Diagnosis requests

Small-Group Instructional Diagnosis requests

Center for Teaching & Learning Monday February 16, 2026

The Small-Group Instructional Diagnosis' goal is to provide faculty with important feedback that helps them adjust their teaching and improve student learning outcomes. It also allows faculty to reflect on and document critical teaching behaviors. This process, vetted in research, supports the continuous quality improvement of teaching and learning and shows our continued commitment to creating innovative learning environments, high-impact pedagogies and meaningful student-faculty interaction at Georgia College & State University. After completion, the requestor will receive a letter from the Center for Teaching and Learning certifying participation. However, the results are confidential.

For spring 2026, the SGID opens Feb. 23 and subsequently closes March 6. Please submit your requests at least seven (7) days before the first date you want the observer to come to your class. If you are interested in scheduling a SGID for the spring 2026 semester, please complete the Course Feedback Request form. You can also contact the Center for Teaching and Learning at [email protected] or by phone at (478) 445-2520 for more details about the process, scheduling or general inquiries.
