Nominations for the 2026 Brandy Awards open Monday, March 30 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), giving students the opportunity to recognize employees who have made a lasting impact on their college experience.
The Brandy Awards honor outstanding staff members, administrators, faculty, and advisors across campus. Each year, students nominate individuals who have stood out through their support, teaching, and daily interactions that shape student life at SWOSU.
Nominations will be accepted from 8 a.m. on Monday, March 30 through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1. Students can submit nominations through HilltopCentral using the online form.
After the nomination period, recipients are selected through a vote by the student body. The process keeps the focus on student voices and the people who have influenced their time at SWOSU in meaningful ways.
Each award recipient receives an Oklahoma Brandy Award plaque in their category, which is displayed for the following academic year. For many employees, the recognition comes directly from the students they work with every day, which makes the award especially meaningful.
