On April 22, 2026, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin and Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Meder Abakirov held consultations between the two foreign ministries in Bishkek.
Liu Bin stated that in recent years, high-level exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan have been intensive, with bilateral trade volume and personnel exchanges hitting record highs. China stands ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, leverage the coordinating role of the foreign ministries, continuously deepen political mutual trust, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and carry forward traditional friendship, so as to jointly build a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future.
Meder Abakirov spoke highly of the Kyrgyzstan-China comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era and expressed gratitude for China's valuable support to the economic and social development of Kyrgyzstan over the years. He emphasized the willingness to fully leverage the guiding role of head-of-state diplomacy, continuously promote cooperation with China in various fields, strengthen international coordination, and jointly open up new prospects for bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
