IN CASE YOU MISSED IT… Chairman Scott, Ranking Member Gillibrand Push CLEAR LABELS Act to Label Foreign-Made Drugs

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In case you missed it, Chairman Rick Scott and Ranking Member Kirsten Gillibrand's joint interview appeared on WBMA, highlighting their new bipartisan, bicameral CLEAR LABELS Act. This bill would require country-of-origin labeling for America's prescription medicines and their ingredients, ensuring Americans know exactly where the drugs in their medicine cabinets come from.

Currently, many prescription drugs and their ingredients are manufactured overseas, particularly in Communist China and India, while federal labeling requirements are leaving patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers in the dark about where these medicines come from.

The CLEAR LABELS Act will bring greater transparency to the pharmaceutical supply chain, helping patients, pharmacists, and other purchasers make more informed decisions about the medications they rely on while supporting American jobs, strengthening domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing, and rebuilding a secure and reliable U.S. supply chain so families can have confidence that their medicines are safe, properly regulated, and clearly labeled.
