Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Ambassadors from Central European countries

On 23 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, held discussions with Ambassadors and representatives of Embassies from Central European countries (Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic, and the Holy See) on the Thailand - Cambodia border situation.

The participants exchanged their perspectives on the situation in an honest and constructive manner. The Thai side provided the latest update on the Thailand - Cambodia border situation and the outcome of the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting, held on 22 December 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Thailand reiterated its strong commitment to achieving peace that is genuine, sustainable and grounded in concrete action, while the Thai - Cambodian General Border Committee (GBC) meeting will be convened by the militaries of both sides to discuss implementation, related steps and verification of the ceasefire in detail. Thailand welcomes constructive engagement from friends and partners in order to de-escalate the situation and achieve the cessation of all forms of hostilities.
